This month we have received the following funding and awards:

  •  MadeLocalFund funded by Semble and Carling.
This has gone towards mirrors and flooring costs in Oxford House Creative Hub and costs towards the new emerging 18+ project – ‘Women in Mind’  led by Exim Dance Company.
  • Stronger North Stonehouse.
The funding we have received will be supporting residents in North Stonehouse in a variety of ways –  with FREE services, Positivity Packs and dance wellbeing young people sessions, ‘Women in Mind’ an 18+ project taking place in Stonehouse, peer support & movement sessions.
  • We have been selected as finalists for ‘The Mental Health and Wellbeing’ award in the Community Sports and Recreation Awards by Sport and Recreation Alliance.
We look forward to joining the virtual ceremony on the 11th March.

We’re really grateful for the support, this has enabled us to continue to provide services in the community.

This month we have distributed Positivity Packs to local schools, we have had help from Plymouth councillors who have distributed hundreds to families most in need, North Stonehouse residents and of course all the young people who attend our sessions once again.

Thank you to everyone who spread and shared the love for our packs. So far we have distributed 674 packs in February and there’s still more to come!

You may have seen our news last month that we have moved into a new shared premises with Rhythm City Dance Studio at Oxford House Creative Hub in Stonehouse. Whilst we are putting things into place, we wanted to make a special dedication in our new home.

It is the third year anniversary of Megan sadly passing, Megan was one of our first to join ADAPT and was part of the company for a considerably long time. There’s not a single ADAPT session that you aren’t thought about and so regularly spoken about by the young people and staff.
